New York, NY (May 14, 2025) – Last night, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) hosted their annual Hot Pink Party at The Glasshouse in New York City. The evening raised over $11 million–a new record for the Foundation–to support BCRF’s global legion of 260 scientists pursuing high-impact, lifesaving breast cancer research.

Hosted by Elizabeth Hurley, Global Ambassador of The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign, the evening honored Tatiana and Peter Cancro, Founder and CEO of Jersey Mike’s Subs with the Evelyn H. Lauder Spirit of Philanthropy Award. Presented by BCRF Co-Chair Emeritus Kinga Lampert, the award celebrates those whose altruistic impact profoundly improves the lives of others. In September 2024, Jersey Mike’s Subs and their customers across the country raised $4.4 million for BCRF.

Breast cancer survivor Kate Williams was presented with The Roslyn and Leslie Goldstein Unsung Hero Award. The award was presented to herby breast cancer survivor and advocate Marcella Kelson, followed by remarks from BCRF Founding Scientific Director Dr. Larry Norton. Actress and breast cancer survivor Toks Olagundoye led the crowd in a live, Text-to-Pledge fundraising effort.

The evening featured an unforgettable concert by 17-time Grammy Award winning artist STING, who took the stage to perform his classics including “Every Breath You Take,” “Fields of Gold,” “Englishman in New York,”and more.

“As you’ve heard tonight, scientifically, we stand poised in a moment of unprecedented advances and possibility,” said BCRF President and CEO Donna McKay. “Thirty years ago, a single spark – named Evelyn Lauder – ignited a flame. Today, it’s a blazing fire of discovery, lighting the way to better outcomes for countless women and men worldwide.”

Other notable guests included: Misty Copeland, Nia Long, Imaan Hammam, Vera Wang, Damian Hurley, Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Alison Hall, Bershan Shaw, Hannah Storm, Julie Sweet, Eliana Lauder, Lizanne Kindler, Priya Shukla, Stéphane de la Faverie, Miranda McKeon, Jenna Leigh Green, Jill & Harry Kargman, Lara Shriftman, Laura and Gary Lauder, Rachel Lauder, Katherine Lauder, Kara Lindsay, Gretta Monahan & Ricky Paull Goldin, Emma Myles, Katie Thurston, Sarrah Strimel Bentley,  and more.

In the 30 years since BCRF’s founding, breast cancer mortality rates have declined by 44 percent, and a  recent study by the American Association for Cancer Research revealed an 80 percent reduction in breast cancer deaths among women 20-49 over a decade. As the world’s largest private funder of breast cancer research, BCRF-funded scientists have contributed to every major breakthrough in the field. However, with breast cancer incidence on the rise, BCRF’s mission to fund innovative research is more critical than ever.
