The Daily Show‘s 2026 Emmy Official FYC Panel brought together Jon Stewart and the News Team’s Ronny Chieng, Josh Johnson, Jordan Klepper, Michael Kosta, and Desi Lydic for a lively and insightful conversation. Held in a packed theatre at Metrograph in New York with an audience of TV Academy Members, the panel delved into the team’s creative process and personal experiences working on the show over the past year.

For thirty years, the Emmy® and Peabody Award-winning The Daily Show has entertained audiences with its signature brand of hilarious, insightful and sharp satire to help make sense of our world. In the process, Comedy Central’s The Daily Show has redefined political satire in American culture, served as a launching pad for some of the most influential stars in comedy, and expanded the possibilities and relevance of the late-night genre. Jon Stewart anchors every Monday followed by The Daily Show’s all-star News Team sharing hosting duties, including Desi Lydic, Jordan Klepper, Josh Johnson, Ronny Chieng, and Michael Kosta, who also share the platform with Troy Iwata and Grace Kuhlenschmidt.

The late-night staple has earned dozens of Emmy wins and nominations over its run, including three Emmy wins in 2025, tying its own record for number of wins in a single year. The Daily Show won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Talk Series both in 2023 and 2024.
