iDoc24 Dermatology and STD App – App launched at Launch Conference

iDoc24 Dermatology and STD App – App launched at Launch Conference. STD Triage App – Anonymous Fast Skin / STD Test App launched at Launch 2013

Dr. Alexander created iDoc24 – which allows you to anonymously send in images of your skin problem (rash, hives, warts, etc) directly to a dermatologist and get a response back within 24 hours.

His girlfriend is a dermatologist, and they noticed while at dinner parties with friends that the more people drank wine, the more they would want to show skin issues and ask to get immediate advice.

And so was the beginning of iDoc24.

Because pictures sent into iDoc24 are anonymous, Dr. Alexander next noticed a trend of people asking about STD’s.

And so was the beginning of STDTriage.com.

STD Triage is an app but you can submit a webform on the website too in case you don’t use apps (smartphone or ipad).

STD Triage works like this: submit 2 photos, 1 close up and 1 overall pic, and wait.  Within 24 hours you’ll have an answer by a certified dermatologist on a diagnosis.

It’s $10 to get the results. If they recommend you take action a map of clinics around you displays.

I had to interview Dr. Alexander about this because it’s not just another fun, trendy app to find new friends or food…  it’s something Useful that tackles “Real World” issues.. not to mention it’s fast and simple.

Here’s also an article about it on Huffington Post.
