INTRODUCING COLBY ACUFF, MAJOR LABEL DEBUT WESTERN WHITE PINES OUT JUNE 9 ON SONY MUSIC NASHVILLE
NEW SONG “PLAYING GOD AGAIN” OUT NOW
SUMMER TOUR DATES CONFIRMED
May 16, 2023—Emerging singer, songwriter and musician Colby Acuff will release his anticipated major label debut album, Western White Pines, June 9 via Sony Music Nashville (pre-order/pre-save here).
Produced by Eddie Spear (Zach Bryan, Cody Jinks) and recorded at Nashville’s Sound Emporium Studios, Western White Pines establishes Acuff as “one of the most promising artists on the rise” (Whiskey Riff). Across these ten tracks, written mainly by Acuff alone, he demonstrates his rugged spirit with lyrics filled with grit and authenticity.
Ahead of the release, new song, “Playing God Again,” recently debuted, of which The Nash News praises, “This up-tempo song is for all the lovers of old-school country…the kind of country music that derived from the mountains of its forefathers. The fast-paced track brings back plenty of nostalgia.”
After touring with artists such as Lainey Wilson and 49 Winchester, Acuff will perform through this summer including shows supporting Flatland Cavalry and Shane Smith & The Saints in Salt Lake City, Portland, Spokane, Tacoma and more. Acuff will also perform select shows as part of the Whiskey Jam Tailgate this summer, which takes place ahead of Luke Combs’ sold-out US stadium tour. See below for complete tour itinerary.
Originally from Coeur d’Alene, ID, Acuff dove into music at a young age, learning piano at age 5, drums at age 9 and guitar at age 11, before performing for the first time at age 12. In the years since, Acuff has released three albums independently—2020’s Life of a Rolling Stone, 2021’s If I Were the Devil and 2022’s Honky Tonk Heaven—earning nearly 60 million on-demand streams to date.
