Jai Uttal Brings a Full Band, The Kirtan Love Experience, to the Art of Living in Los Angeles on March 9

Los Angeles, CA – Deeply revered Bay Area Kirtan musician Jai Uttal will return to Los Angeles for the first gig with his full band, The Kirtan Love Experience, here since 2017, on March 9 at the Art of Living, an incredible domed venue at 948 West Adams Boulevard, LA 90007. Tickets are $40 until March 5, $50 after, and kids under 18 are $20 at https://tickets.brightstarevents.com/tickets/jai-uttal-and-the-kirtan-love-experience-in-la-juoifn0.

Attendees at the event will learn the ancient wisdom of India:

• Soulful call-and-response chanting: Joining voice with others as Jai guides you through uplifting Sanskrit mantras, igniting a shared space of devotion and joy.

• Inspiring storytelling & devotional melodies: Allow Jai’s captivating narratives and heartfelt music to touch the soul and spark personal reflection.

• Haven for self-expression: Whether a seasoned kirtan participant or curious to explore, this welcoming space invites one to open heart and voice freely.

• No prior experience necessary: Come and connect with the inner spirit through the power of collective chanting. Let the music wash over, leaving one feeling uplifted, rejuvenated, and deeply connected.

Jai’s full band on the event includes Steve Postell on guitar, masterfully weaving acoustic textures; Mark Gorman on bass, laying down the warm, rhythmic foundation; Dave Allen on drums, pulsating with soulful grooves; Jai’s son Ezra Uttal on keyboards, adding layers of ambient soundscapes, Prajna Brianna Vieira on voice and harmonium, enhancing the melodies with her ethereal vocals, with Jai on voice, harmonium and guitar, leading the experience with his charismatic presence, powerful vocals, and fantastic technique.

Initially built in 1910 as the Second Church of Christ, Scientist, and now the Los Angeles Center for the Art of Living Foundation, this incredible Classical Revival building with one of the world’s largest poured concrete domes is on the National List of Historic Places and is a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument. A popular spot for film and television shoots, its now trendy West Adams location is convenient for both East and Westsiders.

Embark on a vocal journey through the sacred sounds of ancient India. With call-and-response group chanting and storytelling, Jai Uttal creates a space of invocation, prayer, and heartfelt expression. “These ancient chants,” says Jai, “contain a transformative power and healing energy. We join a stream of consciousness and devotion flowing for centuries by singing these prayers.” Jai has been leading Kirtans worldwide for over 50 years, creating a safe environment for people to open their hearts and voices. No previous experience is needed. This is an exploration and expression of the heart and the spirit.

Tickets for the show are $20 – $50 and are available at https://tickets.brightstarevents.com/tickets/jai-uttal-and-the-kirtan-love-experience-in-la-juoifn0.
