Joey showcases a new side of his artistry on “Fallin’.” The track opens with a head-nodding bass line complemented by silk-smooth drums before Joey flexes his vocal range with echoing melodies. He opens up about the struggles of love, confessing on the chorus “Fallin’ for you, I’m all in for you.” The accompanying visual centers around Joeyas he slowly “falls” into his bed. As the only actor featured, the captivating music video essentially gives viewers a glimpse into his mind as he grapples with the intoxicating feelings of falling in love.

Fallin’” comes on the heels of the “Show Me” short film featuring Serayah [EmpireBMF]. Released at the beginning of March, the latter has exploded with north of 1.6 million views. It has also picked up critical plugs from COMPLEXHipHopDXUPROXX, and more, while VIBE praised, “The short is a perfect compliment to the rapper’s latest drop, as the subdued ambiance mirrors that of production and Joey’s contemplative lyrics.”

2000 represented a critical and creative high watermark for Joey. Among many highlights, 2000 has garnered over 340 million total streams worldwide. In addition, Joey delivered a show-stopping performance of “Show Me” on NBC’s The Tonight Show, Starring Jimmy Fallon. Boasting a stacked guest list with JIDLarry JuneDiddyCapella Gray, and Westside Gunn, it also incited the applause of Rolling Stone and Pitchfork, who observed, “You’ve heard Joey rap like this before, but the scope is plusher, a Bad Boy veneer slathered over corner-bred rhyme schemes.

Infiltrating culture, he also stars in the STARZ original Power Book III: Kanan and will accompany Wiz Khalifa on his seven-city Good Trip Tour, which ends at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO, on April 22 in celebration of 420.
