Trustee Donations to Building LACMA Propel the Capital Campaign to 98% Completion
(Los Angeles—March 7, 2023) The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) is pleased to announce that 11 new members have been elected to its board of trustees since 2020: H.E. Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Jon Brooks, Susan Hess, Boojin Lee, Cheech Marin, Ashley Merrill, Rich Paul, Lionel Richie, Jim Tananbaum, Gregory Annenberg Weingarten, and Jeff Yabuki.
LACMA’s board of trustees have played a central role in the Building LACMA campaign. Collectively, the board has pledged $330 million to date, making it the largest contributor to the historic public-private partnership. As of March 2023, the capital campaign has reached the $736 million level, bringing it to 98% of its $750 million goal.
