Gucci and CHIME FOR CHANGE hosted a film screening of The Future is Fluid, a short film by Jade Jackman and Irregular Labs, followed by a panel discussion on the subject of gender on January 27th at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. UK-based director Jade Jackman’s short film, The Future is Fluid, explores what “gender” means to Gen Z around the world. Jackman approaches this topic without the inherent bias driven by age and by society’s heteronormative default. Jackman’s style blurs the line between fact and fairytale, telling a story of a generation demanding to live in a world that is free. Following the screening, a discussion moderated by Ariel Wengroff, Publisher of Broadly and Executive Producer at Viceland, included Jackman, Sage Grace Dolan-Sandrino, teen advocate for LGBTQ rights, and Jules Spector, Founder of Teen Feminist blog and Teen Advisor for Girl Up.

ABOUT: CHIME FOR CHANGE, the global campaign founded by Gucci in 2013 to convene, unite and strengthen the voices speaking out for gender equality, works to build powerful connections to encourage conversation, self-expression and meaningful action.

Gucci and CHIME FOR CHANGE are pleased to partner with Irregular Labs on the latest issue of The Irregular Report, a biannual publication that explores different topics through the lens of girl and gender nonconforming Gen Zs.
