November 10, 2025 – Tiny Vinyl is one of the most innovative new physical music formats of the past 20 years, bridging the gap between modern and traditional to offer a new collectible for artists to share with fans that easily fits in your pocket. Tiny Vinyl is a joyful way for fans to appreciate their favorite artists in a special, limited-edition item curated by artists for their biggest fans. Think of Tiny Vinyl as a fun collectible — akin to a baseball card, but still a playable record that measures four inches in size and can hold four minutes of audio per side. Tiny Vinyl is not intended to replace other forms of recorded music—it is a bonus for fans to collect.
Available online and in-store now, Tiny Vinyl is a curated collectible with two singles on a 4” vinyl disc. Tiny Vinyls can be found through partnerships with Target and other national retailers, and directly with exclusive artist partners. Tiny Vinyl’s initial series of dedicated releases will feature many of the world’s biggest artists, including releases from Chappell Roan, Rihanna, Ariana Grande, Gracie Abrams, Tate McRae, Doechii, Doja Cat, Noah Kahan, KATSEYE, Lola Young, Frank Sinatra, Lainey Wilson, Kacey Musgraves, Bruno Mars, Britney Spears, The Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, Mötley Crüe and more, with availability in all Target stores nationwide. Please see below schedule for full set of Target-exclusive Tiny Vinyl releases. In addition to the Target launch, Tiny Vinyl continues to partner with artists to develop bespoke editions for special album launches, fan clubs, gifting, tours, online sales, and more.
Tiny Vinyl Co-Founders, Neil Kohler and Jesse Mann, saw two trends overlapping – the resurgence of vinyl and a trend toward miniature collectibles. Kohler and Mann believed fans and the industry would connect with a new pocket-sized take on the ever-popular vinyl format. They then partnered with Nashville Record Pressing, an acclaimed vinyl manufacturer and Nashville-based subsidiary of GZ Media, the world’s largest manufacturer of vinyl records, to develop the format. After releasing a handful of Tiny Vinyls with artists in Nashville, the Tiny Vinyl team realized they had a product with mass appeal. Each Tiny Vinyl is produced as a numbered, limited edition with the highest manufacturing standards – just like 12” vinyl. Providing a more sustainable spin on vinyl, all Tiny Vinyl records are made from 100% bio-attributed vinyl while utilizing approximately 1/10th of the material versus a standard 12” vinyl to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and waste. With two tracks per disc, every Tiny Vinyl sold counts as two track sales, so just five equal one album sale—making them both collectible and chart-eligible with Billboard and the RIAA.
Over the past 20 years, vinyl sales have significantly grown and now top 50 million units per year in the United States alone (Sources: Billboard, RIAA, Luminate). With broad availability at Target and beyond in 2025, Tiny Vinyl is a dynamic addition to this trend, offering fans a new way to connect with their favorite artists.
