MusiCares® Person Of The Year Honoring Mariah Carey
MusiCares® honored music icon Mariah Carey as its 2026 Person of the Year, recognizing her extraordinary musical legacy and longstanding philanthropic impact. The five-time Grammy Award® winner and 2024 Recording Academy®Global Impact Award recipient was celebrated with a tribute concert featuring performances from an impressive lineup of Grammy Award-winning and nominated artists, including Adam Lambert, Billy Porter, Busta Rhymes, Chanté Moore, Charlie Puth, FLO, Foo Fighters, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Jon Batiste, Kesha, Laufey, Maggie Rogers, and Teddy Swims, as well as record-breaking frontwoman Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless. The evening also included an opening DJ set by Jermaine Dupri.

28th Annual Entertainment Law Initiative Luncheon Honoring Paul Robinson
The Recording Academy’s Entertainment Law Initiative hosted its annual luncheon Friday morning, presenting Warner Music Group’s Executive Vice President and General Counsel Paul Robinson with this year’s Service Award. The ceremony kicked off with remarks from Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason jr. and Senior Vice President Of Membership & Industry Relations Kelley Purcell. The 28th annual event also celebrated emerging legal talent, recognizing the 2026 ELI Writing Contest winner Justin Fisher along with runners-up Anika Kazi and Derek Song.

Grammy House: Grammy U Day
Grammy U, the Recording Academy’s membership program for the next generation of music creators and professionals, hosted its first ever Grammy U Day at Grammy House – a whole day dedicated to amplifying emerging voices and talent. The day started with a Masterclass with Grammy nominee YUNGBLUD, where he offered advice and insights into his career, moderated by Allison Hagendorf. Grammy U transformed Grammy House in the evening into a mini music festival featuring three stages with live music by Grammy U members, emerging talent and special performances by Grammy-nominated artist Ari Lennox, Grammy nominees Durand Bernarr and Los Wizzards, and singer-songwriters Jensen McRae and Hailey Knox.
